Honduras StaffMesoamerica Energy's local office in Honduras, Energía Eólica de Honduras, is staffed by the following full-time employees: José Morán – Local Development Manager: José received his electrical engineering degree from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), and recently finished studies for his master's degree in Economy and Finance from the Catholic University of Honduras. He has 18 years of experience in the energy sector, having worked for more than 9 years for the Honduran National Energy Company (Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica or ENEE), in hydro power plants operations, power systems’ operation and planning, and in regulatory issues. He was a Honduran representative for the SIEPAC project, and he coordinated regional operations and planning workgroups for the Central American Electrification Council (CEAC). He later worked in the private sector as a project developer before returning to the public sector to coordinate the power reform process in Honduras. Before working for Mesoamerica Energy, José was an energy specialist at the Honduran Private Enterprise Council (COHEP). He has been a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank (BID), the World Bank, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the areas of power sector reform, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
